Hi, I’m Liza.

A badass, mud-loving, bear-loving Triathlete, Obstacle Course Runner and Cross-Fitter.

I qualified as a Personal Trainer in 2016 and haven’t stopped learning and developing myself since.

I often get asked why I refer to myself as a coach rather than a PT. PTs gain an L3 qualification and then work with the general population helping them achieve basic fitness-related goals, the most common being along the lines of “lose weight and tone up”. The L3 qualification is the minimum requirement you must hold to work one on one with someone and as such covers a lot of areas at a minimum level. A PT generally will be able to help someone do something that they could do themselves if they really wanted to.

As a coach, I have taken my learning much, much further and have a more in-depth knowledge of movement quality and methodology.

I have chosen to specialise in Strength & Conditioning and Endurance sports. For me, coaching means offering a far more advanced service. It unlocks advanced training techniques, working with clients to build a fully fit-for-purpose program that could involve Olympic weightlifting, strength training, plyometrics, speed and agility, mobility, core stability, and endurance.

As a coach, I can help someone get to where they want to go, which they couldn’t do alone.

And… I am not done. Like you, I am a work in progress, always striving to be the best version of myself that I can be.

Loves:

  • Inspiring, motivating and educating people about all elements of fitness.
  • Eating real food and focusing on food as fuel.
  • Training hard and concentrating on what my body can do, rather than how it looks.
  • Our planet and the great outdoors
  • Being a Badass Bear

Dislikes:

  • Quick fixes and shortcuts
  • Starvation diets
  • So-called “detox” products
  • Photoshop and filters changing how people look
  • Insta influencers parading as fitness pros, spouting useless and sometimes even dangerous advice.

About Forza Fitness

I created Forza Fitness in 2016 with the goal of helping people improve their daily lives through fitness that is both fun and fulfilling.

Since then I have grown as a person, an athlete and a coach and the scope of Forza Fitness has grown with me.

I now have three separate packages that do specifically different things;

Forza Fitness – Strength & Conditioning for general fitness goals
Forza Performance – Specialist Sport-Specific Coaching
Forza Nutrition – Nutrition and Behaviour Change Coaching

If you are serious about achieving your fitness goals, whether that goal is related to personal improvement in strength, or endurance, or both, or you are aiming to reach the Ironman world championships I can help get you there.

That may sound like I am a bit of a jack of all trades but don’t be fooled. That isn’t as broad as it maybe sounds. I am a strength & conditioning and endurance specialist.

There are 5 pillars that are the immutable foundation of my coaching:

  1. Control the controllable
  2. Find the positive
  3. Focus on you
  4. Try to be 1% better every day
  5. Mistakes make us
